This past week we blessed to have Matt's Aunt Margaret come visit us from Texas. Margaret came up here to hang out, travel a bit and enjoy the Pacific Northwest. She went driving down the Oregon coast, stopping along the 101 to view the beautiful lighthouses and breath in the fresh ocean air. She came back up and watched me and Matt play some softball (what a great fan) and then just hung out with me and Matt. It was so much fun running around the different markets we have here, tasting fresh fruit and local foods. One thing Margaret did not want to miss was a Mariners game at Safeco Field!! Luckily they were playing the Texas Rangers!! How cool is that?? =) All in all...we had an amazing time catching up with Aunt Margaret!!! We LOVE having family members come see us!! This truely was a blessed week!! We love you Aunt Margaret!

The Sun is Shining in Washington

Finally, after sooo much patience, the sun decided to come out! All weekend long I kept hearing that "its going to be warm next week", but I wasn't going to believe it until I saw it! Sure enough after a long weekend working the firework stand...the sun decided to shine bright...and warm!! Thank you Lord!! I have been longing for the sun to come out, almost to the point of wanting to move! =) Today at lunch I was able to sit outside and enjoy my lunch without a cloud in sight! What a great feeling it was!! =)
I find it so amazing how much having little sun affects one's mood. I'm from Oklahoma where it has been over 90 for at least a month and a half, and with everyone posting on facebook about going to the pool and the lake... talk about making it worse for me! I have been going crazy! So today and I so thankful to hear that the sun will be shining for awhile now! Great news!! Now if I can just catch up on some much needed sleep...I'll be great!! =)

Aloha!
For our vocation this year we were given the amazing opportunity to go to Hawaii with some very close and dear friends...for free!! Well...we had to pay for our flights and food... but we got to stay in this awesome house at no charge! Thank you Jeff and Tiffany for inviting us to go with you!!
I was looking forward to this trip for quite some time! I was working out like crazy, eating good, just making sure those bikini's fit just right! Not only that but I was super excited to spend some girl time with Tiffany! Matt, Jeff, and Nate had the time of their lives just being with each other and getting that much needed male bonding time! I knew this would happen, and I knew me and Tiff would have lots of time together, learning about each other! What a blessing that was! I have decided that me and Tiff are much more alike than we ever thought! How great it is to feel so connected with my husbands best friend's wife! LOVE it! =)
Words can not express the joy we had being on this trip! Not one moment was awkard or weird. Each moment was filled with laughter, prayer, great thoughts or over abundance of love! And... Dole Whip =)
This group of people is our family. We love them more than they know and feel so blessed when we get to spend time together! Matt and I are so looking forward to more time with our dear dear friends!! We miss you guys already!!

Fun Times in Oklahoma
Last weekend Matt and had the chance to go back home to Oklahoma to see friends and family! I have been patiently waiting for this trip for a couple of months now and it was everything I knew it would be!! We had five days to fit in AS MUCH as possible!! I had at least 6 different types of food that I HAD to have while back in OK. Does anyone else that travels home do that?? =) Plus a ton of people to go see, two graduations, a wedding, and a four tattoo appt!! I'm sure anyone that is reading this (if anyone) must think we are crazy!! I keep telling myself next time I go home, "I'm not scheduling that much stuff next time"!! But, we all know that will probably not be the case! We were able to make to every appt, every event, and we saw so many friends and family!! What a blessing the weekend was!!
We made it to:
1. Sonic
2. Chic-fil-A
3.Braums
4 Ted's & Bravo's
5. Joe's Pizza
6. And a dinner made by my momma!
7. Janet's Eat's & Sweets
Thats a lot of food for one weekend!! =) We loved every second of it!!
Plus we got to see our precious niece and nephew, Kate and Michael!
Thanks for everyone that worked us into your schedule!! We loved every minute of being home and being surrounded by the people we love!!

Enjoying time off work!

I have been so lucky to have a couple of days off, away from the clinic. The doctor I work with is on vocation all this week. It has been so much fun sleeping in with my hubby and getting things done around the house!! Some people get so bored when they dont have things going... me on the other hand, enjoy sooo much!! I've got the house to myself all day!
With our Christmas money we decided to redo our bedroom! I just got our new bed set in last night!! Check it out! So today I'm working on making our bedroom nice and homie for me and the hubs!! =) It def takes a lot of time and money to change things around in your home! But it is totally worth it!

Polar Bear Plunge!!!

Every year on the 1st, the city of Lacey hosts the Polar Bear Plunge. This is where hundreds of people jump into ridiculously cold water. Well... this year I got talked into doing it! My hubby, lil brother in law and his girlfriend partook in the festivities! FYI.... I will not be doing this again, I thought I was going to drown,LOL !!!
And yes, Matt and Steven dressed up! =)
Christmas in Washington
We were so sad that we were unable to go home this year for Christmas. We made a choice to stick with our budget we have and getting home just wasn't feasable. So we stayed in Washington, just the two of us and Millie & Brody! It turned out that it probably was best that we didn't try to go home, Oklahoma got hit by a blizzard and got over 14 inches of snow! We would have had to stay in the airport!!
With all that said, we do miss home very much and can not wait for the day the Lord leads us back there. We want to be spending more time with our families and friends back home. Even though we were alone, we were able to get to spend so much quality time together, cooking, starting traditions, and opening Christmas presents!! We feel very blessed to even be where we are in life! Thank you Lord for providing so abundantly!!
Oops.....
Sorry guys I'm terrible at this blog, I know I posted the same pics twice. I couldn't take it off!!!

Happy Birthday Nicole & Manda
My girl Nicole shares a birthday with me. Not the exact day, her's is the 5th and mine the 8th, but they are so close that we can to have fun together!! Totally fun! This year we wanted to go ice skating! We loaded up in the hoopty van and headed to Bellevue. We get there and they have all the streets lit up and Christmas music playing... plus a light show with drummer boys included! We had to take time and watch that...then we would go skating. Well... our tummies got the best of use, we were all starving and thought it would be fun to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. Bad idea... we waited in line over 2 hours before we got to sit down. Needless to say...no ice skating for the girls on their birthdays =( However, we had a great time just being together with the crew!
Year 2009
This year we celebrated our 1 year anniversary on October 19th! It's so hard to believe that we have been married for a year, but it truely has been the best year ever for me! Matt is such a loving, patient, and generous husband. He amazes me daily!! I Love You honey!!
We were both in a wedding of two very special friends the week of our anniversary. Each year one or the other is going to plan our anniversary and surprise the other. This year was Matt's! While in San Diego for the wedding, he took me to Sea World!! Sooo fun!! I have been wanting to go back there for sooo long! I went as a child and I loved it! We had such a great time!
Plus the wedding we were in, was FABULOUS!! Congrats Tiff & Jeff! We love you guys!
